Exploration
In the days following, we explored the area on foot. Yonsei university is a quick 10-15 minute walk away. We also walked over to places like Daiso and Olive Young. Then, we walked to Hongdae (took us about 20 minutes) and did some shopping.
Korean Clothing & Skincare Shopping
PACK LIGHTLY!!! I cannot stress this enough. The clothes here are so much cheaper. We were amazed by the ~$10 pair of jeans in the mall. I purchased a lot of clothes on the second day. For clothing, head over to Hongdae Shopping Street and stop by M. Playground. This place is EXCELLENT for men’s and women’s clothing and has cheap prices. Everything there was so cute and fashionable! There are also cute women’s clothing and shoe stores along the street.
There’s also the AK& Hongdae (AKAND) mall over there. It has many floors of stationary, food, and clothing, and the top floor is all anime (specifically One Piece). The clothing here is expensive so I don’t recommend buying any clothing here.

Food
We did takeout at Standby Kitchen which is about a 20 minute walk from the goshiwon. You can get a BLT for ~$5 and it was DELICIOUS. I got a more expensive steak and cheese sandwich.
We also ate at this chicken place in Hongdae with Gordon Ramsey on the front. It was good! I recommend the cheese balls.
Fun Activities
Photo Booth: I noticed that all of the photo booths take photos and videos of you and provides a QR code to access a digital version of it online. If you visit AKAND, there’s a big photobooth room in there on the second or third floor that I absolutely loved.
